Baked Chicken Wings with Herbs and Olive Oil

Looking for a delicious chicken wing recipe that doesn’t douse the chicken in high sugar barbecue sauce? Try this savory recipe. It’s packed with flavors of garlic, olive oil, mediterranean herbs, and fresh basil. It pairs well with a salad and a glass of red wine!

Ingredients:

  • 2-2.5 lbs organic chicken wings
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • lemon juice and dijon mustard for dipping (optional)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  Combine rosemary, oregano, thyme, and black pepper and sprinkle onto the chicken wings. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until cooked thoroughly. While the chicken is baking, mix the basil, garlic, sea salt, and olive oil and once the chicken is done, drizzle the dressing over the wings. Let cool and enjoy! Dijon mustard as a dip complements the flavors well.
